We cruised the Western Caribbean to Roatan (an island on the coast of Honduras), Belize, and Mexico. We hired local people to take us around each place we visited and were rewarded with interesting experiences. Some of the photos are up on this web site.
Now the feeble attempt at a poem:
My Country Keeps me Free
As I travel the USA from sea to sea
My country keeps me free
Sea Lions and sun on a California coast
Hard-working people; opportunities we treasure most
Miles of rocky canyon glowing red
The sun sets where free people tread
As I travel from sea to sea
My country keeps me free
Snow-covered mountain peaks point to the sky
Fields of wildflowers fill the eye
There's time spent whaling
And hikers seen trailing
As I travel the USA from sea to sea
My country keeps me free
Birding in rainy Florida everglades
Sailing on Alaska's coast as sun rise fades
My camera's shutter captures everything
That moves my soul and makes my heart sing
As I travel the USA from sea to sea
My country keeps me free
